木刀や杖、短刀などの木製武器の手入れと、そして、それらを最適な状態で保管することは、木製武器を持つにあたりとても重要なことです。一番の理由として、武道具としての安全性を保ち、湿度や温度変化に起因することからくる木製武器の歪みや損傷を避けるためです。(ですが、歪んでしまった武器を修復することができるのも事実です。後ほど紹介します。)今日は、木刀、木製武器の日々の手入れについて少しお話ししたいと思います。

Light-, standard-, heavy-weight, traditional cut, modern cut, original cut: There are many models and choosing the one that best suits you does not only depend on the thickness of the fabric! Here we will discuss the different Seido models, fully representative of all the existing "Made in Japan" Aikidogi. However, low-end Dogi made outside of Japan are not to be part of the topic.
